Day 1 : Welcome to Peru (Lima)
On arrival you exit the main airport doors to the right hand side where you will see your hotel in front of you.  No transfers necessary.  Note: we use this location for late night flights and early morning departures. If your flight is arriving in the early afternoon we can change location for you.

Day 2 : Lima – Arequipa
This morning you fly from Lima to Arequipa.  On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.In the afternoon we collect you from your hotel for a Private City Tour.  Our first stop is the Santa Catalina Monastery, a wonderful place that housed the nuns of Arequipa for centuries. Later on we will walk around the main square of Arequipa, a nice spot surrounded by colonial arches. At the main plaza we will visit the interiors of magnificent Cathedral of Arequipa. Later on we visit the Museum of Santuarios Andinos where we will see the Mummy named Juanita, an amazing frozen body of a little girl found at the cold slopes of the Ampato Mountain.  
The tour lasts approx. 4 hours and we return you to your hotel afterwards.

Day 3 : Arequipa – Colca Canyon
We will pick you up at your hotel to begin our journey to one of the deepest canyons in the world! Taking the highway from Yura, bordering the snow – covered Chachani Mountain onwards to Cañahuas Pampas (natural reserve of vicuñas), where we will see these graceful camelids going through high Andean lands. We are also able to see a huge variety of migratory bird’s enroute including Flamingos.We will pass through the crater of an extinct volcano (Chucura). We stop to admire of the beauty of the area, which is also the highest point on our trip (4,800 m.a.s.l). We arrive into Chivay at approximately 1.30pm where we stop at a restaurant for lunch.We continue our trip in the afternoon around driving up to the colorful village of Coporaque, from where we will start an approximated long walk of 2 hours to be able to enjoy the surrounding nature and beautiful landscapes of this valley, as well as of a pre – Inca cemetery. After this we return to our hotel where we can enjoy dinner and the natural hot springs there.

Day 4 : Colca Canyon – Chivay – Puno (Lake Titicaca)
We have an early departure at 6am to the viewpoint of Condor Cross (Cruz del Cndor) where we can observe the majestic condor in flight. On our return we stop in the towns of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque that have beautiful colonial churches.We also stop enroute for lunch in Chivay and afterwards connect with our group transportation to Puno (Lake Titicaca). The journey takes around 6 hours in total and we will leave you at your hotel.

Day 5 : Lake Titicaca
An early start as today we take a boat out to the Floating Islands of Uros and to the Isle of Taquile where we will learn about the traditions of the islanders. Here you will also find beautiful woven goods that you will not find anywhere else in Peru! We return to the Port late afternoon and transfer to your hotel.

Day 6 : Puno – Juliaca (Airport) – Cusco
We transfer you to Juliaca Airport today – a 45min drive – for your flight to Cusco. On arrival in Cusco our Team Pachamama will meet you and transfer to your hotel. You have the rest of the day to relax and enjoy the marvels of Cusco!

Day 7 : Cusco
This morning we pick you up at your hotel for a Private City Tour. We will visit the most important sites around the City – The Cathedral, Koricancha “Temple of the Sun”, Tambomachay “Temple of the Water”, Pukupukara “Red Fort”, Qenqo “Maze”, Sacsayhuaman “Pumas Head”.The tour lasts approximately 4 hours and we return you to your hotel afterwards.

Day 8 : Sacred Valley
We will collect you from your hotel and take you on the Private Tour of the Sacred Valley.  We will visit Awanacancha Cultural Village, where you can see and interact with many species of camelids (alpacas, llamas, vicuñas).  Here you will also see ladies making fine alpaca weavings.  From here we travel to the town of Pisac where we visit the market for a little while and then travel by car up to the ruins above the town.  We will walk in the area of the ruins for around 1 hour.  From here we make our way back to Urubamba where we take lunch in a touristic restaurant (not included in the cost). Our final place to visit is the pretty Andean town of Ollantaytambo.  We will hear all about the amazing history of this village and explore some of its pretty lanes.  We take you to your hotel in Urubamba afterwards where you can enjoy the wonderful surroundings!  Maybe enjoy the SPA!

Day 9 : Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes
We pick you up and transfer to the train station at Ollantaytambo from where you take the Vistadome Train Service to Aguas Calientes. Guide onboard. Upon arrival you transfer to your hotel (quick walk) and check in.You have the rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the grounds of this beautiful hotel.

Day 10 : Machu Picchu
This morning you rise early to take the bus together with your guide up to the ruins of this beautiful New World Wonder, Machupicchu!!  You will walk with your guide around the citadel exploring the most important sites and temples learning about the civilisation that once inhabited this mountain top citadel.  The tour lasts around 2 hours and afterwards you have free time to explore on your own. When you are ready you make your way back to the town for lunch (not included in the price).  You can explore the town a little, maybe get some souvenirs in the market, and then we take the train back to Ollantaytambo where our Driver will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 12 : Cusco – Puerto Maldonado
We transfer you to the airport for your 30 – minute flight to Puerto Maldonado. On arrival you will be met by a staff member of Inkaterra, Reservas Amazonicas. We will then visit the Butterfly House before making our way to the boarding wharf from where we travel via long boat for around 45 minutes before arriving at the lodge. You will be welcomed and shown to your room.

Enjoy the Trail System adventure and the Twilight River excursion. On this guided afternoon boat ride, you will witness the enchanting transformation from a diurnal to a nocturnal environment, as animals and birds of the daytime are replaced by species specially adapted to the night. As you enjoy their paradise, you will learn about their habits while searching for nightjars, owls, capybaras and caimans. In addition, on a clear night the southern hemisphere stars can be appreciated. Dinner is served at the main dining room. Overnight.

Day 13 : Puerto Maldonado
You have a very early breakfast starting at 5am. We take an excursion to Lake Sandoval – a 30 – minute boat ride takes you to the Tambopata National Reserve, where wildlife surrounds you as you enjoy the one and a half hour walk along three kilometers of trails to reach Lake Sandoval. Glide in a wooden canoe, across a beautiful, mirror – like oxbow lake that is home to the endangered giant river otter, as well as red howler monkeys, macaws, prehistoric hoatzins, also called “shanshos”, anacondas, point – tailed palm creepers and side – neck turtles. You will spend two hours on the lake, looking at all is has to offer.In the afternoon you enjoy the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway & Anaconda Walk. A 5 – minute boat ride takes you to the Inkaterra Canopy Interpretation Center. After ascending the first tower, at 29 meters above the forest floor, you will literally walk through the treetops for one – and – a – half hours along suspension bridges that link eight observation platforms.Enjoy landscapes and vistas that would be unimaginable from below, while on the look – out for giant strangler fig trees, orchids, toucans, woodpeckers, trogons and –with luck – monkeys or sloths. After your descent from the Canopy, experience the Anaconda Walk for about 30 minutes along the 200 – meter wooden bridge over the Aguajales swamps.In this lush eco system, you may observe the various species of amphibians, serpents, birds, mammals and abundant flora and trees of this flooded marshland. The walk finishes by returning to the lodge.

Day 14 : Puerto Maldonado – Lima
You will have breakfast and then return by boat to Puerto Maldonado. You check into your flight bound for Lima.  On arrival in Lima you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the heart of vibrant Miraflores!  Here you will find many fantastic shops and some of the best restaurants in the world!  Day at leisure.

Day 15 : Lima – Home
This morning you will be met and taken on a Private City tour. You will have the opportunity to visit one of the most important architectural constructions of the 17th century, Convent of Saint Francis. This complex has a small square, the convent and church. Its cloisters have beautiful tiles and one can visit the catacombs which are more than 300 years old. We then visit the three most important sites from colonial times: Plaza Mayor, plaza San Martin, Palacio de Gobierno (known as the house of Pizarro), and the Municipality, preserving their original architecture. This 3-hour sightseeing tour offers the best of colonial and modern Lima. The tour ends with a visit to the modern suburbs of San Isidro and Miraflores.  We return to your hotel afterwards.  At the appropriate time we transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.
